"The Holy Trinity"

Picture 1
As the La Liga season comes to an end, Real Madrid is beginning to take form. The once “rubbish” Gareth Bale is now being praised by the Spanish press after Madrid based newspaper Marca released an article labelling him as “priceless.”

With the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema Madrid’s attacking trio holds the record for the most goals scored in not only the Spanish league but the UEFA Champions League as well. Spanish papers have even named the three strikers “The Holy Trinity” stating, “His (Bale) partnership with Benzema and Cristiano can be nothing short of lethal.”

It also seems the tension between Ronaldo and Bale has lightened as Ronaldo told the Spanish press that he is “enjoying” the presence of the £86m Welshman. “Los Blancos” are finding the results they need in the Champions League but seem to be falling behind in their domestic league. Head coach Ancelotti has stated that his team is in good form but they need some defensive improvements.

This end-to-end action was not over until the final minutes of the game when Spanish International Fernando Llorente headed the ball past Iker Casillas to snatch a point in this heated matchup.

Real Madrid are now six points clear of Group B in the UEFA Champions League as they plan to face Galatasaray on the 27th of November. Madrid now hold 10 points in their group table and are likely to proceed to the next round of the tournament where they have the chance of facing rivals Barcelona.
