"The Holy Trinity"

Picture 1
As the La Liga season comes to an end, Real Madrid is beginning to take form. The once “rubbish” Gareth Bale is now being praised by the Spanish press after Madrid based newspaper Marca released an article labelling him as “priceless.”

With the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema Madrid’s attacking trio holds the record for the most goals scored in not only the Spanish league but the UEFA Champions League as well. Spanish papers have even named the three strikers “The Holy Trinity” stating, “His (Bale) partnership with Benzema and Cristiano can be nothing short of lethal.”

It also seems the tension between Ronaldo and Bale has lightened as Ronaldo told the Spanish press that he is “enjoying” the presence of the £86m Welshman. “Los Blancos” are finding the results they need in the Champions League but seem to be falling behind in their domestic league. Head coach Ancelotti has stated that his team is in good form but they need some defensive improvements.

Rubbish Reports

Despite managing to score on his Spanish La Liga debut match against Villareal, Welsh playmaker Gareth Bale has since been unable to play another minute for Madrid. After Bale finally completed his move to the Santiago Bernabeu only one month ago, reports from the Spanish sports daily Marca have stated that Bale actually has a lumbar disc hernia which will require an operation to cure the problem. The Wales agent Jonathan Barnett has religiously denied the report calling the story "complete rubbish, irresponsible and a disgrace."

The Real Madrid club have recently come out strongly deny the Marca report on Bale. "It is completely false that the player has a discal hernia. He has a small chronic protrusion in a spinal disc that will not affect him playing," Real Madrid said in a statement. The newspaper reports are creating a storm of opinions and controversies which can only be confirmed when Bale actually return on the field with "Los Blancos" (Real Madrid.)

Meanwhile, Barnett released a statement reassuring the public's confidence that Bale will return soon and he is already training normally. "He is the most expensive signing in history. If there had been a problem they (Real Madrid) would have stopped the signing. Gareth will be available to Mr. Ancelotti after the international break. He has had a slight tear in his thigh. He is angry that a newspaper can write such rubbish."
